This was such a frustrating product to assemble. The instructions are really badly written - for a start, the number of screws of one type received does not match the number in the instructions. Then, instead of the usual series of simple diagrams and part numbers, you get a few little paragraphs which are had to read and follow. You reach a point about half way through where, having followed the instructions, you get stuck and have to undo part in order to add an extra piece which had not been mentioned before, and finally, one of the screws was not long enough to properly reach the nut it was supposed to screw into. Fortunately, the rest of the frame was sturdy enough that we think you can get away with it.The finish of the product is a bit poor. It is bare wood which has been roughly stained a dark brown colour so it has a matt finish. It needed a layer of lacquer or wax to give it is smoother, more polished finish. In use, the design has a flaw - it is too tall for a toddler to easily climb straight up onto the platform - it needed a small step half way up instead of the rounded bar which is supplied and harder for little ones to use as a boost.
