This bed is BEAUTIFUL and I am glad I ignored the negative reviews. It is PERFECT for our little girl's room. I love that it has clean lines and modern looking, versus all the other weirdly traditional beds with sleigh-styling, or character-themes, beds shaped like gardens, cars, boats, etc. etc. etc.. Plus, the modern, clean look does not come with a crazy $600+ price tag, which we also loved. We chose the grey color, which is pretty close to what is shown in the photo (though I would not have been upset if it was darker or lighter, it is gorgeous, period.) The rails that support the mattress ARE quite difficult to get lined up and together; and I recommend having two people (like many other reviewers have also noted). Otherwise, the bed is excellent. The wood is good quality, the color is gorgeous and the bed is very durable. I was glad that I read the other reviews that mentioned the stickers, so we were able to correct that issue immediately once we realized it was going to be on the outside of the bed. If you put the sticker-covered boards on the inside, on the bottom rails, it's fine. The other reviewers who did not and are complaining about the stickers being visible... Ridiculous, honestly. If you put the bed together right (it is even indicated on the stickers that they go on the inside and bottom rows of the bed,) then the stickers aren't even visible anyway.I really, truly have no idea why other people are commenting that it dents and nicks easily. It definitely does not. I accidentally dropped a crate of books on it when I was getting it out of my daughter's closet, and it didn't even leave a mark (and this was probably about 25-30 pounds of books in the crate). We have had it up for a few days now and she is beating on it with toys and jumping around on it (she's pretty excited about her big girl bed) and still, no damage, no marks. I suspect we will be able to use this for multiple children, which is another plus in my book. This was worth the extra $25-$30ish we spent on it (versus those $75-$80 plastic character-themed beds).
