Lots of fun! My 3 year old definitely can't put it together herself, she needs mom to put it together for her, but she loves playing with it!I will say, life will be much easier for both of you if you get a baseplate, like this one here Bought this for our little girl who loves animals and is really into building. It comes with 121 pieces, which includes a 2 farmers, a cat, cow and calf, rooster, brown horse, a tractor (her favorite), a crane that does go up and down when you turn the wheel, 2 chairs, a whole solid piece red wall with window, a pair of green doors, brown barn door, white door, window, 6 fences, a water trowel, food trowel, roof tiles, 2 white platforms and 1 or 2 green ones and a bunch of basic Duplo blocks. It goes great with the Duplo farm animals we already have and fits perfectly with the green building plate. There are a few designs you could create using only the blocks that comes in this set but are limited. It is the perfect add-on to any Duplo All in One Box of fun basic block set.Goes well with our other sets.This was a Christmas gift for our two year old granddaughter. The quality is the tops - currently she likes the animals, people and have her dad build a barn. She does enjoy putting the blocks together to see how high she can build before they topple. My daughter wished the barn was more of a complete building (instead of creating one with blocks) like the barn was in the Farm duplo set she grew up with. We did order an additional duplo block set so there be more blocks to build with.Yes, we're excited that it has doors! This is the first set we've bought with doors and our son has been playing with it for hours because of it. Plus some really nice farm animals, like the cat and the horse. It's our second farm set but this one is much nicer. Besides the big barn doors it also has a nice front door, the roof pieces have tile like edgings, the cow has utters (and horns, but we'll excuse that) the tractor is much bigger and there's a pulley that works well. It comes with a decent amount of pieces too for the price. Definitely a good set to get for any child 3-5!Love, love, love this Lego set!! Both my boys, just turned 3&5 love this. I purchased it for my youngest because my older son is more into smaller legos but he plays with this set just as much as my youngest. It really is such a cute set for the price. My youngest loves the pulley part that lifts the hay etc. and plays with that the most but over all he loves the whole set. It comes in a very big box that I wasn't expecting but such a wonderful set. Very happy with this purchase!My 2.5 year old granddaughter requested this set after seeing it in a Lego catalog. She absolutely HAD TO HAVE the horse and cow. The over all quality of Duplo's needs no review - they get 10 STARTS every time. However, this set is quite large and complex. I built it for her (ahead of time for Easter) and had a blast. But I'm thinking once a child is old enough to put this together on their own they will no longer be in Duplo's but regular Legos. Now that the farm has been disassembled, I doubt we'll ever see the complete farm again. Thank God children have a vivid imagination and you can build "anything" with Duplo's.Get addition to my 3 yr old lego collection. I like the assortment of blocks. He likes to create towers and the different shapes and sizes allow him to build in new ways every time. I wish the set came with more people, he is getting to the point of roll playing with his toys but is unable to do this with Legos because of the lack of people.my son started playing with these when he was 3. I like them a lot more than the megablocks and so does he. Having the farm figurines, doors windows and roof pieces etc add interest compared to a bunch of boring blocks. Duplo is worth the money.Our 1-year old loves everything about it...the opening doors and windows, the animals and the figurines. Like all duplo it is very sturdy and works well. It will be a toy that he can use for years as his imagination grows.Very nice farm! This is almost as nice as the Lego education farm sets which are very expensive and hard to find. My daughter loves the latter from the library. I bought this for her as a substitute. There's not enough animals but you can buy extra.Like every Duplo set that I bought for my daughters 25 years ago and now my grandson, the originals are perfect and James simply love them, they are his favorite toys with the animals and the specialized blocsGreat price, got it very fast and my son loved it!
