Returned these. We pretty much only buy Stride Rites, but these were disappointing and the sizing and cut seemed off.The shoe itself was not narrow in the footbed but nonetheless was pretty tight around the ankle and heel and seemed like it would be the kind to cut and chafe around the ankle if actually worn for a decent amount of walking and playing. The strap was short and no matter how snug we pulled it did not fully cover the other side of the velcro despite my son's relatively slim foot (he is definitely not a "wide"). They were hard to get on, and because the material is thin, the heel collapsed the very first time we tried to get them on. There was PLENTY of space left in front of his toes (almost too much) so this was not an issue of squeezing into a shoe that was just too small. Also, because the fabric really isn't stiff enough, the tongue of the shoe kinks and folds (it even came with creases right out of the box). It left an impression across my son's foot after just a minute of trying the shoes on, and he was complaining about it right away.Good cushioned insole, as comfortable as I've come to expect from this brand. Typical solid Stride Rite rubber outer sole, though it had some weird fuzz applied to several sections of it (I don't know what this is, something during manufacturing, but I've seen it on other kids shoes). Overall, they were more like a good quality canvas shoe, but if I'd just wanted a canvas shoe, I wouldn't have paid nearly this price for them.These fit my 3.5 year old perfectly. We ordered a 9.5M because she’s in between a 9 and 10 right now and the sizing is exactly what I expected for a half size. The shoe seems sturdy with a stiff back that does not collapse but is flexible and bends when my 3yo walks... she said they are comfortable. I like that these are washable... I will update after first wash if they don’t come out well or if anything disappoints with quality later on. The only reason I am giving 4 stars out of 5 is because the opening is somewhat small (tongue is attached). Easy for me to put these on my daughter, but at this shoe size/age a no-tie shoe like this should be easily put on by the wearer and the small opening makes it difficult.Update: these DID NOT wash well. Insert came out and fell apart and can it be put back in due to it being shredded. I washed in the machine with extra water on cool/gentle. Bummer.These are cute, comfortable shoes for my toddler. After reading the reviews, I decided to get a W instead of M width, and I am glad that I did. These were a little stiff at first but became more flexible and easier to put on after just a couple wears. They are sturdy and well-made, and the reinforced toe is perfect. These were replacements for a pair of Nikes whose toes blew out after only a couple weeks. These show far less wear so far, and still give him a lot of flexibility and comfort for running around and climbing on the playground.The design is extremely easy for wearers to put on "all by themselves," as they say (which becomes very important at around age 2!), and they are on the stiff side to begin with (which means they are sturdy and will last well).Personally, we didn't get a good chance to break them in when they were on the big side; now that they fit snugly, they are not yet flexible enough to slide on and off easily (no stretch). As a result, they will be handed down soon (and would be soon enough, anyway, due to a growth spurt); however, they will probably serve the next user well.I bought these shoes in an 8w for my two year old and we both love them! I think they're adorable and very durable. He wore them for five months before growing out of them and they've held up beautifully. I knocked off one star because while I ordered and received the wide width, they're just not as wide as other brands. It was tough to squeeze these on his chubby feet!Love the looks of these shoes. They fit my son well. Love stride rite. However, they are really stiff. This is our 2nd pair after he out grew the other pair & they never seemed to "break" in. The tongue is also a little short. But still love them.These are nice shoes. A little heavier than some others so once in awhile he trips and falls or face plants :) If your child is a little clumsy, this may not be the shoe for them!Great sneaker but runs small and not as easy to get on my child's foot. We have another pair of Stride Rites that are a half size smaller and they fit much better.I've purchased Stride Rite shoes in the past since my son had his first pair of shoes and loved them. This was the first time purchasing from Amazon but I still thought they were super cute and stylish.This pair however, took some considerable wear and tear to them. The toes of both shoes have ripped/rubbed so much that the top layer is now gone and the underneath sole is exposed. I'm not sure if that is due to the quality of the shoe, or if my son was just particularly harsh on this pair. they definitely won't make it through another child like his other pairs will (which is too bad seeing as how their more on the pricey side!)Very firm. Makes it hard to get my son’s feet in and out. Love stride rite, just not this particularl pair. We have 3 other styles that are amazing.Good shoe and fits well but expect to have to help your toddler put them on every time. Very difficult to put on even for an adult.My 22 months old love these shoes. They're comfortable and fit perfectly for her wide feet.Hermosos y muy cómodos
