Faux-fur trim and adorable snowflake accents lend a cozy charm to Baffin's Lily snow boot. Nylon upper. Rubber sole. Twenty-five years ago Baffin Footwear began manufacturing moulded insulated and non-insulated footwear products. While traditional moulded boots are suitable for some conditions they are not ideal for cold temperatures. Baffin combines leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, which creates a hybrid style of high performance footwear. This equates to more warmth, better fit, and superior comfort. Baffin uses an unrivalled 8-layer combination of materials that is used in their boots that are rated to -148 degree fahrenheit temperature range. Baffin boots are different to most shoes and work boots because the sole and midsole is moulded to the base in one continuous process. The sole itself is a marvel of modern engineering because it is made up of several advanced thermo-set polymers that are combined together to achieve the right balance of warmth, protection, low weight and grip. This in combination with a Polymech foam removable lining system and innovative Timberwolf leather and Diamond-Lite insulated nylon uppers, creates a relentless focus on perfect boots and winter shoes. Baffin is dedicated to offering boots with functionality and fashion while still maintaining our legendary performance.

These shoes are adorable! They are very warm (my daughter cannot tell me that yet - she is only 19 months old), but I've touched her feet after we've been outside, in the cold, and found them warm, unlike with other shoes. Took me a really long time to find warm, cute, waterproof and somewhat reasonably priced winter shoes in size 7. The really cold days are yet to come this year and it gets really cold in Anchorage, AK, in the winter, so we have yet to test how these hold up during the really cold days.11/25/15 UPDATEAfter my daughter has worn these boots for a while, I have to write an update. The really cold days have come and these boots have failed to keep my daughter's feet warm, even with cotton stockings and warm (wool) socks on her feet are cold after a mild winter day in Alaska. I really wish I could return them. For the price I paid, I expected a better product.I bought them for my 6 yrs. old granddaughter and my daughter loved them because they did not look like the usual bulky snow boots. Well, the first winter snow storm mix (snow, ice, rain and wind) my granddaughter wore them in, she came home from school with soaking wet feet. I was very disappointed that she had to go back to her old boots that kept her dry but not warm. My daughter now only lets her wear them on cold days not on the wet days. It's hard to rate these because we fell in love with the color and style.I was hesitant about these boots at first because of the inserts. Snow boot inserts and a toddler seemed like a nightmare (don't even get me started on trying on the newest Columbia snow boots) so I spent days looking at numerous toddler boots and ended up with these. These seemed a little sturdier than most so I bought the red boots in a size 8 for my toddler who is between 7 and 8 right now. They are a little big, but hopefully this means they'll still fit at the end of the season. They are super warm and sturdy and my toddler can get them on herself, without having to remove the insert or getting caught up in them. I love these, and I even caught them on sale!Good traction. Warm. Fun style. Fairly easy to put on. It has been a light winter and so they are not getting the mileage typical of kid boots, but so far, they have not torn or ripped. Only complaint is that toe area is snug.My granddaughter says these are squishy and comfy. The insulation is substantial, and these boots seem very well made, thick soles and the material on the shaft is very nice and strong. Like the reflective stripes up the sides. Despite being fairly open at the top, I don't see a problem when she's wearing these with snow getting in because she'll have to tuck in her pants. we'll see. But we love these boots and granddaughter can't wait for snow.Didn't have too much snow this year in Michigan to test out the warmth and waterproof claims. They were only used at recess time for about 30 minutes a day. We have owned Baffin products before without a problem so I don't forsee anything unsatisfactory happening with these. They are really cute on my 4th grader. She doesn't feel like a "little" girl in them.Bought these for my kid for and they are perfect for this North Dakota winter. I bought the same pair last year and figured I couldn't go wrong with the same brand for this year. And I'll be buying Baffin again next year. They work perfectly for school and I never get a complaint about feet being cold or wet.I bought these for myself even though they are supposed to be for kids. I wear a 6 women's but these fit great. Even a little bit big, but if i needed to wear two pairs of socks there would be enough room. Traction is very good. I wore these all winter while pregnant and never feared a fall.
