I've bought my daughter Timberland Maplebrook boots for the past two years and have been very satisfied. These are rather stiff out of the box, but given our previous good experiences with Timberland boots, I expect them to break in nicely. I ordered the black and they are a super pitch black, almost blue-black. The lining is that spongy material often used to line boots, which I dislike, but given the reasonable pricing, I consider the boot a really good buy overall. My main complaint/wish is that the boot does not appear to be waterproof or water resistant.Dear Timberland,Kids wear boots in bad weather. Please make them waterproof.Thank you.Ordered my daughters normal size, 2, and had to send them back and exchange for a 3. The three fits her beautifully. These boots are so awesome. Even though my daughter is only 8, I almost always buy her real leather boots and shoes because you can buff the scuffs out and they still look good 6 months later. Unlike the pleather shoes that rip and peel, yuck! And, as an added bonus, I can easily resell the used leather boots on ebay or garage sale site and get 1/2 my money back!NIce boots but seem to run small. My daughter couldn't wear them so I returned them. Quality of leather and craftmanship is excellent, I would just suggest ordering at least 1/2 size bigger than your normal size. These boots are NOT the same quality as they were in the past. What appears to be a sewn sole is actually two layers of rubber, only one of which is sewn to the upper. The bottom layer came unglued from one boot and is starting to come undone on the other boot. These used to be the best, durable boots for kids. In fact, my daughter's friend still wears the pair she outgrew two years ago. I am really disappointed after spending this much money. This is the second pair of these that my daughter has worn. The first pair she wore until she outgrew them, and we just bought a pair in a larger size. She's worn them through rain and snow and they've held up beautifully. They look great with leggings or a dress. Great boots.Fit just as expected, they;re a nice looking pair of boots. Unfortunately I think the sole is a bit hard, and my daughter doesn't like them as much as I had hoped. Great quality.Very cute! Fit great! Can't be the price for Tims. These shoes are beyond cute on my 2 year old! I'm sure she'll outgrow them before they show much sign of wear... they are high quality!Bought in the black and brown, both in size 5.5. Although listed as girls - these were adult sizing. True to size, I ordered half a size bigger as wear thick socks with boots. Really comfy boots, wore them straight off for the whole day, walked a fair bit and no rubbing or blisters. Nice supportive soles too. Prefer the colouring of brown, there was more variation in the shading, so will be returning the black pair - they were lovely boots but worn with leggings I felt they looked a bit like the original Star Trek boots :)Daughter tried to get them on for a good half an hour and just couldn't, on second attempt before sending back she got one foot in and said that once on it was really comfortable. Bought a long shoehorn and she managed to get them both on, without too much fuss. She work them for a long horseride and was super happy with them and she's one for moaning if they hurt at all. So make sure you have a showhorn handy even if you buy bigger!!! (Bought size 5 as she's over a 4. Great fit with the thickish trainer socks.LOVE these boots. I have very slim calves and ankles and they fit just right with a pair of skinny jeans but it's important to note that they're a slim fit round the ankle/top of foot - perfect for me as I always find boots too loose. They're waterproof and I can walk for hours and hours in them with no discomfort at all. Just done their first winter and showing no signs of wear at all.Quality boots, with the exception of the zipper, which is small-toothed and does not do up easily, especially at the half-way point where the boot crumples a little. They are waterproof and warm.My 3 year old loves these boots. They are smart but practical. Comfy and warm. Only small point is they seem a bit big around the calf, otherwise, I would definitely order again.
