I bought these for my little girl who is 3. I was looking for something sturdy, that would be warm and would hold up in a MN winter. These keep my little girl's feet warm and dry (the inside has nice, soft black fur), but I HATE the buckle closure on them! It is really stretchy and just does not hold the boot together well. It seems like the buckle and boot is always loose. They really should have put TWO straps on the boot and used a buckle that wasn't so elastic.Bought this pair of boots for my 2 1/2 year old daughter based on all of the positive reviews. Thought maybe they would hold up so I could pass them down after she outgrew them. They didn't even make it through one WI winter without falling apart. We aren't sure what we are going to do for boots for her this winter, but don't plan to go with Kamik again.Love these boots as much as our toddler does. They are his first pair of hard soled footware, and he just loves stomping around in them. If you have a toddler, you already know how important it is to get their clothing on and off quickly, and footware can be the most difficult. These boots are a breeze to get on and off. My only complaint is that one row of the stitching on the piping came loose (about an inch up), but the piping is double stitched, so not a big deal.I selected this boot for two reasons:(1) I needed one that was not strictly "pull-on" - I liked the velcro closure, seemed it would be easier to get on my 2 1/2 year old's size 8/5 foot.(2) a couple of previous reviewers mentioned it was good for wider feet*** I am so pleased with this purchase! Even though the front flap pulls open to let the foot in .. there is no break in fabric, so the snow cannot creep in the sides ... the rubber is SOLID and I felt so confident that my toddler's foot would stay dry. There was even enough room to tuck her pant legs into the boot, and use the velcro to snugly tighten it all in.*** My daughter just grew from a size 8 to 8.5, so I bought a 9 - and it fits wonderfully.it seems like a great boot but runs at least a size small. i had to return them so i can't say how well they work.I purchased these boots because I liked how there were no openings for snow with the one piece design. What I now really like is that my 2-year-old can put these on himself. They're lightweight but sturdy, and he seems to walk well in them. Would definitely buy again. My one concern is that the velcro seems flimsy, and I'm concerned it might not hold up the whole winter.Bought these for my daughter who had been walking for 2 months before we got our first snow of the season; she was 14 months when she started wearing them, and was 18 months the last time she put them on. I'm so happy we got them for her, as we had an unexpectedly snowy winter (2010 in the Northeast). She was able to walk in them perfectly well, and they kept her steady in the snow and ice. They were easy to put on/take off, and her feet also stayed toasty warm in them, as the lining was perfectly fuzzy. Highly recommend these, and I plan to buy the next size up for her next fall/winter.This boot is warm and a great fit for my pre-schooler. My only complaint is the velcro attachment on the boot (not the one on the strap) pulled off within the first week. That was disappointing, but since I fixed the strap I don't have any other complaints and I would recommend them.
