We bought this to replace the stroller for a long flight. It was a good idea as we did away with gate checking a stroller. My 4 y/o handled riding on it quite well, so I think this might be the perfect age for it, maybe 3.5. Any child younger will struggle with maneuvering the bag around since the wheels do not swivel. So around the airport it was pretty cool to just tow her along while I stayed behind to keep watch of hazards and safety. It helped keep her occupied. It didn’t tire her out like walking would. And best of all— no more restrapping and strapping in and putting her back as you would with a stroller! Best idea ever with security checks and all.We kept contents to what we need for travel like a few clothes, water bottle, snacks, coat, neck pillow and toys. We also used an organizer to contain the small items so they all were held together by the X straps.I rated it a 4 because the locks were tough to open so that might need to be redesigned with something easier to handle.Overall, I highly recommend!Perfect suitcase for the kids to help pack themselves. A large zippered cube fits on one side to hold nicely organized clothes and the other side can easily be stuffed with baby dolls and beloved stuffed friends. The lock works well to keep kids from getting into it when you don’t want them too. My daughter (almost 30lbs and 38”) could easily sit on this and ride around with my pulling by the included string. It turns surprisingly well. I liked that once you are done dragging it (or if your kid gets sick of dragging along their pet) you can switch the pull tether into a shoulder strap and easily carry it yourself. This also makes transporting it simpler. It seems rugged - even after repetitive rides around the house and a few trips it’s still in great condition. The outside and inside wipe clean quickly and easily. Very happy with this purchase. This was super helpful. This no only kept my 3yo busy, but also 3 other kids that were in our gate area while we were traveling. I heard so many people saying "that is amazing," or "we need one of those," and "what a great idea." The only down side is the steering. It's easy to redirect, but it can be a problem if it's really crowded in the halls. I could see you running someone over or tripping someone with the leash. This suitcase is just TOO CUTE! I gave this to my 2 year old for our upcoming trip thinking it would be great for hauling her around the airport on and so far she loves it and I can't get her off of it in the house. The strap and the tabs to close the suitcase are pretty cheap plastic so it will be interesting to see how long it lasts. It's pretty spacious inside for a kids carryon though. My 3 year old loved this however, while unlatching one of the sides to have her ride on it the clip broke off (While we at the airport of course) Thankfully the hook portion was still intact so I was able to hook it on and use as a shoulder strap but it’s not really secure without the piece there. Maneuvering this is not the best ergonomically and I had to continuously jerk it in the direction I wanted it to go. Overall it did the job but I wasn’t really impressed to recommend to othersMy 3 year old daughter loved it. She had so much fun pulling it at the airport. For long lines she used to sit on it. At one point she was riding it and had a blast. The whole traveling/ airport time became so much easier with the toddler. It can carry all the toys, her lunch box, jacket etc. It also fits the spirit personal item measurement which was such a big deal for us. Didn’t have to pay for a carry on. Got a lot of compliments from fellow travelers. Overall a good buy.Gave to my grandkids for sleepovers . They seem durable. Only question if the latches will hold up to kid use. They are xmas presents. I guess we'll see.I really dislike this, but it may just be me. My husband bought it because he thought it was cute—it is—but it is such a pain to hall around. It holds quite a bit and is great in terms of space, but it’s awkward and heavy to lug around...and for anyone with a child, you KNOW you will end up carrying this. If I want my 4 year old to drag it it ends up being even more work since it doesn’t turn well and I’m just trying to get her out of the way of all the people walking around the airport. The handles aren’t comfortable on my hands. My suggestion? Make your kid wear a backpack. My daughter was over the moon and loved her trunki. It is very roomy and sturdy and secure. She found it difficult to ride and almost impossible to steer even when we pulled her it kept going off in all directions and in a crowded airport it’s not ideal. We also had to pay an additional baggage charge as the size of the trunki means that under the new hand luggage sizing regulations it’s too big to fit.Average, ok my daughter loves it, I don’t. It doesn’t steer and towing through busy airport is just more trouble than it’s worth. It really is just a pretty seat. The main positive is that she is now more actively involved in the selection and packing of kit to go. Further on return leg I noticed the seems starting to separate slightly they still have not failed yet. Used it so unless it fails I will not return, however in hindsight I wouldn’t buy.Loved it! Loved the design, as did my 4 year old daughter. Perfect size for all of her little bits and pieces and really made her feel like she was involved in the, getting ready for holiday, part too as she could pack her own little bits and pieces that she wanted to take. Useful straps and pouch on the inside as well to help organise 'things'. Took a while to find 'keys' as they are actually part of the strap and it would have been better if they were a separate item, but that's just me being picky as pretty sure someone could break open 'locks' without too much trouble if they really wanted to. Either way I would still recommend this item to anyone taking a child on holiday, and let them choose the one they want too ?Got this for our daughter's 3rd birthday. She loved it and started playing with it, carting things around the house in it. It really is very pretty but unfortunately she managed to yank one of the 2 side fasteners off, breaking the plastic and rendering it unuseable so it sadly went to the bin never having been used on a holiday. Will be looking for something more sturdy and durable to replace it.The only negative I would say is, there is not enough room for my child toys and clothes and you can’t just sit on it and zipped (as I used to to with backpack) ?I have travel few times and there was no problem with check in, it is fitting perfectly under the front seat. Not heavy at all, I expected to be heavy but is not! Very helpful when you travel with a toddler especially in my situation where I am alone with very energetic toddler! Thank you!
